There are 2 main shipping methods: small parcel and freight LTL loads:
Small Parcel: Free shipping includes delivery to your door. Fedex, UPS are commonly used for these items: accessories, un-assembled furniture items, lamps will likely ship using this method. An adult should be present to accept and sign for delivery.
Freight Shipments (LTL): Large or heavy furniture items like sofas, cabinets, beds, dining tables, large tables, etc will ship by freight. Cartons are placed in pallets to ensure proper handling. Multiple small items (Eg: 10 dining chairs) will also be transported this way. A delivery appointment will be made by the freight Co. The Freight Company will call 24 hours in advance to set an appointment.
There 3 levels of freight delivery services. You can specify these upon check out:
1- Free Freight Curbside Delivery: Items that come in different boxes (knocked down - unassembled): Cartons will be handed to the client from the back of the truck. Basic assembly will be required in most cases. Instructions will be provided.
2b mod will include a complimentary liftgate service for beds, cabinets and other large pieces that come in a single - large box. Load will be placed on a dolly and brought in front of the door (or garage door) if possible (house). LTL to a residence - building: Items will be delivered to cargo area or front door in a building. LTL to a warehouse: items will be delivered to the loading dock.
2- First Room Delivery ($99) includes placement of cartons on the 1st room of the house. It does not include placement upstairs (inside stairs) or assembly - removal of cartons.
3- White Glove Delivery ($149) includes delivery of the items to your room of choice – including one flight of stairs inside the home. Removal of cartons is included along with inside placement and basic assembly (30 minutes – basic tools).
- Lead Times: Items in stock usually ship within 7-10 days. Individual small pieces will ship by regular carrier like UPS or Fedex. Larger items or multiple pieces from the same source (brand) will go by freight on a pallet. Back ordered pieces will take up to 8-10 weeks to ship but in many cases it could be less. We suggest to inquire on stock prior placing your order and we will provide a more accurate time of arrival. Custom order items shipping will be 8-12 weeks. Allow 10 days to be transported after it is received in the warehouse. We will always try to expedite your order if possible.
- Delays are expected around the following dates. Last 2 weeks of December and 1st week of January as all companies try to adjust to the high traffic of the season (Christmas). End of January / Beginning of February as the Chinese celebrate New Year and factories close. European products will take longer to be received during the summer months. They take vacation time seriously in Europe and production stops for 3-4 weeks in most cases. Please plan ahead and take these dates into consideration when placing an order. We will be happy to check if you have any questions.
- ETA or Estimated Time of Arrival is a good faith estimate provided by the importer / manufacturer. Several parties are involved in the production and distribution of the items we sell. Factories, international freight companies and domestic ones might experience delays due to many factors. US Customs might hold a load for inspections. Always keep in mind that an ETA is just an estimate (90% of the times is accurate).
- Receiving a Shipment. Dear Clients, freight damage is very low these days. However, around 1 of 20 loads still gets damaged in transit. When receiving your shipment, please check for any damages to the boxes prior accepting delivery. Please note any issues on the receipt. You can also ask to make sure the merchandise is in good condition before the delivery person leaves. In the event of damaged merchandise: do not accept delivery. Please take an image and send it along with the description of the issue to email@example.com. If damages are discovered after delivery, please notify us within 24 hours. Please send an image and request a return authorization. You will be sent a replacement at no cost to you.
